Setting: I started this before I saw The Yoko Factor or Angel's Sanctuary (yes, this has been a slow one) but I liked the story too much to change it so here it is anyway. That means there may be vague spoilers for season 4.
Disclaimer: The characters and settings belong to other people (mostly Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy, the WB etc). Darn. Don't sue, I promise to give them back when I finish. The plot, though, is all mine. Yay.
Notes: This started out as a shortish standalone fic and well, look what happened *sigh* It's a monster. Hope you like it.
